The idea for showerhead has lived in my head for a long time. I thought about making the lists into playlists or some kind of journal, but I've found I like the process of writing the songs down, maybe looking up a fun picture, and sharing the joys and pains of songs that stay in your head all day.
But, I have come to realize, this is not a phenomenon that everyone is familiar with. My boyfriend, for example, does not have this happen to him at all. For me, I can't imagine life without my cerebral soundtrack. Which brings me to my next point...
Though the shower presents the first song of the day, music plays in my mind throughout the day. For me, the walk to work, the moments at work when I'm doing something particularly mindless, and the walk home are also fertile ground for repetitive lyrics and/or sweet guitar intros and/or mad drum beats.
I think this very specific blog might be too specific. I need to know where else and for who else the music plays. If I've got a daily playlist and not just a daily song... maybe I've got to share it all. Maybe YOU want to share yours too. If so, you've got to let me know!
